How to disable shadow casting on mesh lights?

I want a mesh light to not cast any shadows. But I can't get it to work..

The toggle "cast shadows" on the mesh does not work with meshlights.

How to get rid of the shadows?

It works here. Your shadow is from the spotlight. Are you disabling cast_shadows in the sphere or the mesh_light? Attach your scene if that doesn't work.

Note that the sphere is a mesh light that casts the blue light.

Yes I want to remove the shadow the spotlight is casting from the "meshlight-sphere". (AKA Remove the dot/shadow in the red light on the floor)

I unchecked the "cast shadows" on the sphere without succes.
