Saw the intro for a Greyscalegorilla's ACEScg training for C4D. He mentions that C4D doesn't have colour management (just like Max) but it is possible to work with ACEScg thanks to Arnold. So, taking into account that Arnold is basically the same for each DCC, is the same workflow possible to mimic in 3ds max?

Is there somewhere in 3ds Max to set the view color space and the render color space?
No. So I assume that you can do that with C4D. Again a shame that 3ds Max doesn't see the need to have this functionality. Thanks for clarifying
I wasn't sure if there was, so I really was asking 😉
No it was a good point. I was just wondering if there was any black magic involved to get that done. They do mention that C4D doesn't have any colour management. So I assume they may have a way to set the colour space, somehow.
Sadly Max doesn't have any color management. This is awful 😕

I already did. Will it change anything? Honestly 3ds Max needs to start picking the pace. USD, proper colour management, VFB. I know it is easy to say, programming that and make it work is another story.
No this is not possible at the moment. 3ds Max is totally color-space unaware.
I am on the Beta program. Going to ask when will we have this.
