5.6.6.1 Bugs

Hi there,

after a few hours of working, it is no longer possible to open the ME or the SME without a crash. Just clicking onto any material - gone!

Image output has a wrong color management output. The results are different from VFB and the output image.

If adding any denoiser in the VFB - rendertimes are much longer.

After rollback to 5.6.5.2 everything works fine again.

Kindly!

A hotfix is being prepared that solves this.

Also the multi/sub object crashes continuously.

It happens in the moment that the previews are loaded in the list of submaterials, when you click to select the multisub-node in the SME.

The previews look corrupted also.

Here's a screen. multisub_crash.jpg

Can't work with 5.6.6.x

Installing a version previous than the two "5.6.6.x" everything works fine again.

EDIT: it happens also with single materials. Also on fresh-new standard surface just created is SME. Typing "U" to update and it crashes suddenly.

…if some osl maps used for more complex materials, the whole scene is messed up. Same with high resolution PBR Materials. Now I have some problems here in 5.6.5.2 but more in GPU renderer, the scene where overwrite in 5.6.6.1 and rollbacked to 5.6.5.2 😞 3ds Max runs very unstable now.

5.6.6.2 has been released that should fix the corrupt package for 2022, plus fix a crash in SME thumbnail generation and invisible viewport display for the Arnold Car Paint material.

Hi ZAP thanks for the update - GPU Rendering is brutal fast and ME is working now, but if the VFB is still open while scrolling the timeline, Max crashes! GPU Rendering works for a couple of frames, as higher the resolution as faster the crash, or lets say after 10 minutes of rendering in general.
