are u able to expand the subdivision extrude tool to be able to control the angle (in global) and distance control,, i would find this helpful, in taking subD modelling beyond the concept modelling stage. I would use this similar way to the alias msdraft tool, and along already creased edges, it would also allow me to gain more consistent fillets in some scenarios
