Problem setting up license in OpenModel API v2027

Hi,

OpenModel API 2027 now needs a license to work in a stand alone tool.

I try to setup it like this

statusCode sc1 = AlUniverse::setLicenseInformation( "736S1", "2027.0.0.F", "USER", "");

statusCode sc2 = AlUniverse::initialize();

I use Alias Surface 2027 with an evaluation license.

but it fails to start :

 sc1 == 0 -> OK

sc2 == 10 -> InvalidLicense

what is wrong in my setup ?

- information given to setLicenseInformation are wrong ?

- evaluation license does not give access to OpenModel API ?

- other ?

Thank you for your help

Hello,

There was an issue with the 2027.0 release that prevented OpenModel licensing from working correctly.  Please download the Alias 2027.0.1 hotfix to fix the issue.

Also please note, the fourth parameter to setLicenseInformation() should be "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AliasAutoStudio2027.1\binC:\Program Files\Autodesk\AliasAutoStudio2027.1\bin"

Thank you for your answer.

I have downloaded the last hotfix, and tried again with this updated code :

statusCode sc1 = AlUniverse::setLicenseInformation( "736S1", "2027.0.1.F", "USER", "D:\Autodesk\AliasSurface2027.0.1\bin");

statusCode sc2 = AlUniverse::initialize();

There is now an accès violation error on initialize(), with this message in the console

License checkout FAILED( Not trusted )

Precision : my Alias 27.0.1 run correctly with this license.

Any idea ?

Thank you for your help

That error occurs when the licensing system can not verify that the SDK is properly digitally signed by Autodesk or that the file is otherwise corrupt/incorrect.

Do you have your path set correctly when running your OpenModel application?  It might be finding another Autodesk licensing SDK from another product?  Try clearing the path and then setting it to only "C:\Program Files\Autodesk\AliasAutoStudio2027.0.1\bin"  (or wherever you have Alias installed if you selected another install location).
