Multiple Hotkey Sets?

I'd like a separate set of hotkeys just for SubD modeling.

I thought each workflow could have it's own set:

  • 1 for Visualization
  • 1 for Modeling
  • 1 for Default
  • 1 for Paint.

This doesn't seem to work.  If I assign a function to Ctrl+E in Default., that hotkey is assigned in every workflow, not just Default.

As a workaround I could create a 2nd pref set with hotkeys for SubD modeling.  But it would be a paint to load/unload prefs through out the day.

Is there a easier way to to have multiple sets of hotkeys?

Unfortunately Alias does not support per-workflow hotkeys.  The only solution is saving a preference set and setting the retrieve to only retrieve hotkeys.  unfortunately I cannot think of any way to hotkey the retrieval of a preference file. You can then retrieve them via the pull-down (near the prompt line).  The shelves and marking menus are per-workflow but not hotkeys.  I will enter a feature request to meet your need.

Hi,

I had this same problem,

A work around I use is to create a Shelves tab purely for hotkeying in each workflow
