issues with visualisation

hi,

I am having these weird artifacts in shaded mode(screenshots shared). It doesnot happen immediately at the begining but starts whenever an operation is performed.

----------------------------

I had this issue previously but it wore off after a software restart but now it seems to happen more often and then stays for quite some time and then again everything goes back to normal and its quite annoying

------and this entire thing loops after software restart---------

I have tried reinstalling graphics driver but it did not help. I use a laptop and have a cintiq connected to hdmi port.

Any help is appreciated!

Regards,

Tushar

This is an issue that has been reported before but we have not been able to trace its cause. Can you specify your computer info, GPU, drivers etc...

Does the issue occur in all files or just a certain file?

Hi Barry,

Thank you for replying. here is the system info file attached, hope this helps.

This happened in a fresh new file, but I have had this issue before working with iterations of older files too.

Regards

GeForce graphics cards are not qualified for Autodesk Alias.

hi @Anonymous ,

there is a quick workaround that works for me, my setup has a monitor and a cintiq(say 2nd monitor) connected.

As I run the application the issue arises on my main monitor then what I do is just slide the main application window in-between monitors and then put the application back to my main monitor and then BOOM the problem is gone as long as I restart the application.

If you have a single monitor I would suggest making a new desktop window and trying the above switch in between desktop 1 and 2-------no guarantees though------fingers crossed.

Hope this helps.

If you happen to have a two monitor setup, make sure your "working monitor" is the main monitor.
Ex: large screen is "Alias working screen" connected to a laptop. Laptop screen is set to be "main monitor".
This may cause this issue...
The Large screen, where Alias is @Anonymous, should be the "main monitor"...
Helps?
