Delete Camera?

Could someone please tell me how to delete a camera?

I've checked the forum and help, looked in Camera Editor and Palette>View but can't find it.

The camera is just another object so you can just pick it an delete it.  However if your in the perspective window you can't see it.  Go to the Menu->Windows->Object Lister and select it in there and delete it.

Hi,

There are no cameras in the object lister (I did a search), or in orthographic view. But if I click the camera icon at the top right of the window then there are several cameras in the dropdown.

To create a new camera use "Palette" > "View" > "New Camera"

To check which cameras are available, and inspect and change their properties, please try "Windows" > "Editors" > "Cameras ..."

To toggle display of cameras in the canvas, please push "Show" button top right of the canvas window and check the "Cameras" option. Note however that cameras will not be displayed in the Perspective Window. Please use e.g. F9 to change to 4 window mode which also includes Top, Left and Back view window (besides the Perspective window). Cameras should be visible now.

To delete a certain camera, please use Pick Object and pick the according camera in one of the windows. You can also select the according camera settings group in the Object Lister window. Note however that this group in general has a different name as the according camera.

Once you select a camera hit the delete key or Alt+A (hotkey for delete)

As others mentioned...if you delete all the cameras you will not be able to view the model in the perspective window.

The icon on the right can be used to change the camera, but what does the icon on the left do?

Not quite sure about your question...there are three camera control icons...

Left...selects current camera

Middle...select a camera to use from the list of cameras in the scene

Right...create a second "zoomed" window...
