I use it in that capacity mainly as I search for and repair short edges in my model. After a model fully stitches, I begin using the Check Model function. I will usually find/repair a few at a time, and then do another quick check model to look for others. That helps to reduce what shows in the results window as I go, so it feels more like I'm clearing things. That's why I like to just "go" with it, the same as the stitching function does. I have other Check Model settings already set up in my Shelf if I need them, so I rarely have to open the option window itself.
Perhaps an addition to the Check Model tool to make it so I wouldn't have to keep "redoing" the check, is to keep a physical "ghost" of where the short edges are on a model, which would disappear as they are removed/modified. This could be an arrow pointing to exactly where the short edges are on the physical model in a "ghost" setting, similar to how cross sections remain until cleared from the cross section editor. Should I write that up as a suggested tool function in the forum, or has that already been suggested?
