Could you post the workspace file.  And does it crash on any workspace, for example "AliasClassic"?

Dear Bob55.

First I could send you two screenshots of what happens. And yes, asap I switch to Alias Classic, first it freezes and then it crashes with "the blue spinning circle" of windows. Then I have to restart via the task manager.

Where do I find the file?

Idea: Could it be possible, that Alias has trouble with my resolution of windows? Because now I am working at home, on my small 22" screen but with my "workstation" and at the office, I have a whey bigger screen of 29".

Anyway, the issue appears since a few days and I didn't change anything besides the resolution of windows.

That is the exported file by "workspaces / export workspace".

What is the scale and resolution of your monitor?  Also if you save a workspace out and retrieve it back, do you still crash?

Currently Im running a EIZO 22" with 1680x1050 and at the office a DELL 42" with 4K.

My graphic card is Nvidia Quadro P5000.

Please zip up your UserPrefs directory and post it.  You can find it here...

%APPDATA%\Autodesk\Alias\UserPrefs2020

Also, I'm assuming you are running Windows 10.

Dear Bob.

Obviously I am not able to drag a ZIP-file here. Don't know why. Do you see a second chance to send it to you?

If I use WETRANSFER, the link will automatically be disabled by the admin.

Update: When I launch Alias, my workspace is in default. When I choose "Workspaces / Leon Workspace", Alias chrashes. Spinball appears. Different happens, when I go "Leon Preferences / Leon". Then everything is good.

But anyway...something is really strange about the whole situation: It is a fresh installation and somehow it chnges itself after while I feel.

You've found a strange problem.  It's been around for a while.  I've entered a ticket, but in the short term it seems you can't have your Multi-lister collapsed down or up when Alias launches.  If you do Alias will hang when you try to import a workspace.  If you un-collapse the Multi-lister then import the workspace, all will be fine.

It's important that you don't have a collapsed Multi-lister window in the workspace your loading.

Ok so having the "shaders lister" or "multi lister" opened / collapsed in general is the problem? Strange but it works somehow. But when I save a workspace save, such without the lister, how can I fix my working window in the right position? My toggle cube is always hided by my control panel (see attachment)
