Alias 24 Hotkey double occupancy

Hi Alias guys

I have a question to Alias 24.
In the older Alias versions I have Hotkey douple occupancy in the different workspaces.
For example  "E" is extend in class A workspace and "E" in subD workspace is subdive extrud.

In the new version I always get the messages "this Hotkey is already mapped to" when I switch between the workspaces.

This takes a lot of time and its not nice.

Do you have an idea how to solve the problem?.

Hi @alexander_kruegerYR6WF have you tried exporting the preferences for each workspace individually, and importing to each workspace rather than going in to individually change a hotkey? Not sure if that works, but worth a shot.

Yes that was a quirk of the old system.  In 2023 and earlier versions.  When you entered a hotkey the editor would only look at the shelf for your running workspace when creating the hotkey and resolving hotkeys.  Because of this there is no ambiguity.  However in Alias 2024 you have access to any shelf from any workspace and the hotkey editor cannot allow ambiguous hotkey assignments.

Hi, I just stumbled across this topic as I am trying to convert my 2023 Prefset to 2025.

I heavily use the hotkey function of Alias and to me these multiple hotkeys per workflow weren't a "quirk" but a fantastic feature and became indispensable to speed-up my workflow.

Is there by any chance the possibility to get back this feature to the now called workspaces?
