Alias 2021 is crahsing while starting

Dear all,

I have the following Problem:

I installed Alias 2021. It was starting normally. Then I arranged all my windows and moved some things to the shelves. After this, I saved the self and created a preference set. Because I missed some parts I had to save the preferences and shelves 3 times.  But it was still running at this moment. I shut down my computer and now I wanted to start Alias, but it's freezing up at this step: "Starting Application" I attached a screenshot.

I have installed: Alias 2018, Alias 2021 and Vred 2020

I run Windows 10

16 GB Ram

Try renaming this file to see if Alias starts...
%APPDATA%\Roaming\Autodesk\Alias\UserPrefs2021\AliasUIWindowStates.scm

If it works please zip up the file and post it here.  I think .zip files can be posted.

I renamed the file and it started. The renamed file is attached at this post. I added a 1 into the name if the file.

It didn't crash for me.  Please zip up the whole dir

%APPDATA%\Roaming\Autodesk\Alias\UserPrefs2021

And you can open and exit one window at a time to see which one is the issue.

The complete Zip file is attached. 

Because Alias was starting again, I worked in Alias and saved a preference set. After closing and restarting, Alias is now freezing up again at the same point. 

I don't understand what you mean by this: "And you can open and exit one window at a time to see which one is the issue."

I'm still not hanging.

If you remove your prefs and accept default Prefs on launch, then without changing anything you save your prefs.  Then when you launch do you hang?

What I did was so far: I change the name of the UserPrefs2021 to something else, so Alias had to create the user prefs folder new to get the basic layout back. Now Alias started normally. I save a preference set, without changing anything in Alias. This worked.

Now I changed the window Size, changed the colour to dark mode and created a shelve and put 3 tools inside. I changed in the paste mode, that Alias should always ask in which layer it should paste it. I changed in the Draw Style the symmetry line style to solid. I also changed the Draw precision.

I saved this with a different name. Closed Alias, started it again. The first "default" Preset was loaded. I imported the second created preset. Now Alias is freezing up while importing.

The freeze on importing of a preference set could be a different problem.  Make sure you are in pick object when you retrieve the prefset.

I tried to import the pref set when I have pick object selected. Alias is still freezing up...
