Weld All Around function

Weld All Around function

We are a fabricator providing electrical utility companies steel for their substations and transmission lines.  We 100% galvanize every part.  This requires us to weld each part "alll the way around" to completely seal it.   The top base plate in the Connection Vault has a check box labled "Weld all around".  We would love to have that ability in a button next to "Weld Point" and "Line of Weld" on the Objects ribbon.

Hi,

The option is already built into the individual weld commands. The tick box labelled Continuous is what you want. This turns on the circle around the knee of the weld symbol in the drawings. The same as the all round option in the Base Plate joint.

Aleck,

Thanks for the information.  I did find the weld-all-around symbol is labeled “Continuous” in the weld properties.  It does make the weld-all-around symbol show up but it does not re-calculate the weld length, unless I am missing something.

Thank you for this idea.

We will take in consideration for our future roadmap to extend the weld element using the weld length information.

best regards
