Update Advance Steel Kiss standards

I read most of the treads about kiss files on the forums and I think we are due for an update.

I received many request over the past years, from multiple customer in North-America and a lot of fabricators are using Kiss standards.

From the different existing request, yes having the bolts and fasteners will be great! but we should also think of revision mark as the example below. "image002.png"

The problem is Advance Steel follow 1.0 Standards and since 2005 the 1.1 standards exist and are available on the market. "kiss_standard_version_1_1.pdf"

I would also mention that if Advanced Steel could export to .xsr files, for import into Fabtrol.  That would be a big improvement as well.

Advance could export the SFR file, which should be possible to import in fabtrol or not?

Thank you for your comment. Sebastian, you are right G.E. Steel can probably propose the SFR format to the fabricator. but between you and I, the SFR file structure is more complex than the Kss file structure. if we look at this simple example, everybody can read and easily modify the content of a kss file visualy, the sfr need litle bit of time to see the same information. I can easily google "kss file format pdf" and find standard document with all specs and information, I tried the same with XSR and SFR and nothing comes up...

Both file are from the same model and were exported from AS2020 version.

The SFR format works with the Fabtrol Pro version. The Fabtrol Pro
version has been limited in it's availability and performance for
several years. Thus Fabtrol encourages fabricators to stick with the
Fabtrol MRP version at the present time. The SFR files do not load in
Fabtrol MRP, only KISS and .XSR files. The KISS format is inferior to
the XSR format as it does not include any of the General Arrangement
drawings, and at times fails to include Sheet #', and Revision #'s.

You want another file format because the other software don't work correct?

We need a file format that works well with the software the 90% of steel
fabricators use. Which is Fabtrol MRP.

Please feel free to verify my information with some of the other
fabricators.

We had the same struggle with Fabsuite/Tekla EPM and ended up buying a product called Soft Scan that reads DWG files and pulls out the required information. It's a shame something so simple, that's been around for decades, is such a battle in AS.

Hello, Question, can we have an idea of when they could already have that version (V1.1) running in Advance Steel? We are greatly urged to be able to generate that file correctly and working in Fabtrol without problems, it takes us a long time to have to do the fixes manually. Please let me know, Thanks,

Dear Experts,

We had to make our own kss 1.1 generator (including fields bolts and other accessories with GA thickness conditions ) with D W M Lines with phase numbers Sequence numbers also through the reading of Advance Steels BOM Table from the drawings (ImpEntity) through API

We need the writing facilities to the          BOMREPR tables through  drawing Database.. That can help us to handle update of Approval comments on revisions tables also

Which database .mdf files/.db / . upd  and which tables are controlling these drawing tables ?
