Tool to automatically merge a database to the current AS databases

With the new AS 2018 version and the database format changes, there is no direct method to “merge” databases for the current version.
When you want to transfer a specific customization from one system to other(s), you have to use SQL Management Studio. But you need to learn how to use SQL and scripts / queries.

The feature request would be to have an additional option inside Management Tools called (as example) “Merge tool” that should do this process automatically:
- The user selects the source database and then the Merge tool should merge it automatically to the current AS database(s)
- The user should be able to see the tables that are different and to select which ones should be merged (All / None / Select)
- The Merge tool should be able to work for any AS database

Thank you very much

Best regards,
Emy

In a current situation the need of this update of the migration tool has particularly been highlighted.
A user had in the profiles, HEA, HEB, IPE etc. the W_messures changed because they do not agree in AS2019 any more with the at the moment applying standard.
Now he has installed AS2020 and all these updates were not taken over in the new version because the migration tool takes over only new entries in existing profile tables.
Besides, the user had specially entered his own author.
In former versions it had been enough to change the author and then the entries from the former version were taken over.
Therefore, it would be to be inserted maybe sensibly an option: "Entries with own author in new version take over".

Then the user can select himself whether he wants to keep the records of the new version or the entries which he has changed in the old version himself.

Then the entry of the author in the database would also have a sense again.
