SINGLE PART MODELLING

SINGLE PART MODELLING

Suppose you modelled a lot of parts, numbered them, detailed them.

Suppose you now want to add a specific simple detail to each ot these parts, identically. Let's say one more hole, one punch, one notch, ...

It would be useful to apply these simple modifications directly into the 2D detail and get them applied to the whole model. Or open the part itself in 3D, modify it, and then apply to all.

Sort of block editing, or special part, but without the mess of creating a SP each time.

Smart one for all editing of repeated (automatically identified) equal parts.

Advance Steel is not Inventor.
To apply an adjustment from the detail to the model is (from my point of view) a very dangerous way of modelling.
What you want to do with this idea is far away from the construction idea of Advance Steel.
I'm not in general against such ideas, but by using a software always require a understanding of how the software works. And you're idea want to change the philosophy of Advance Steel.

I agree with @Sebastian_Eiche , I know the possibility of such modifications from SolidWorks, but it was only about geometric modifications of existing entities, no new elements in the drawings and automatically in the model. For me, each different part is unique and therefore a separate part. How should it work in production and during assembly? Different parts with the same designation because the semi-finished product  is the same? That's nonsense...
