Holes diameters to be coordinated with AISC rules

Holes diameters to be coordinated with AISC rules

Per AISC (ref. attached file) holes and slotted holes are categorized in 4 groups-standard holes, oversized, short slotted and long slotted.

Intelligent connections shall have these standard hole / slot sizes included, it is an industry standard.

All macros shall coordinate washer location-per AISC washer shall be adjacent to oversized or slotted holes. If oversized or slotte dholes are persent on both outer plies, the two washers shallk be used one on ea side.

Currently on some macros we do not have an option to ovesize holes (Galble wall end plate for example).

IMO all macros shall be coordinated with AISC, and options to be available for std, ovesized, short slotted or long slotted holes.

There should be an option long slotted holes to have plate washers covering the slot, in other words, bolt assembly may require to be bolt-grip-plate washer-nut or similar.

STD HOLE FOR 1" DIAMETER BOLT IS NOW 1 1/8" AS OF AISC MANUAL OF STEEL CONSTRUCTION 15TH EDITION.

Devs, if you come to your senses one day and start listening you may implement this, hopefully within the next 25-35 years.

LOL.
