Export to STEP

Export to STEP

Over and over again we must export Advance Steel models in STEP.
The workflow in addition is very costly.
First one must explode the Advance Steel model in volume body, then export the exploded model with AutoCAD to ACIS and then export the file ACIS in STEP with another programme.
It would very make sense if Advance Steel had a direct export to STEP.

Hello FelixT,

Have you read my text?
Nevertheless, this is the problem what the users have.
Absolutely one can take another programme / Converter.
But, nevertheless, direct export would be much easier and quicker.
It is surprising anyway:
In AutoCAD one can import since several versions STEP files.
Unfortunately, one cannot export them there.
Why this export is not implemented in AutoCAD?

Elias

This is clear to me!

However, it would be good if you could put your voute. Since the more people find this also good, the faster it comes to the software.

AutoCad Mechanical has been able to create stepfiles for a long time with the command "stepout". Why this does not work with Advance Steel - I don´t understand why! We need this function urgently and quickly!
