Create an option to allow Linetype BYLAYER in Arrangement Drawings

Create an option to allow Linetype BYLAYER in Arrangement Drawings

There is an option in Management Tools > Defaults > > Drawing Presentation > Colours.

It allows you to Use colour ByLayer in arrangement drawings for Visible lines. In that way, you can set objects (like Concrete) to a layer using Model Role, and have them display using the ByLayer colour on the General Arrangement Drawing.

However, I would like to see a similar option as this available for the linetype to go to the GA as ByLayer. That way it would be easier for people onsite to identify the non-steel elements they don't have to worry about, because using BYLAYER I have set the colour and linetype to make those elements different to my steel.

In the astordetailbase database, table detcadsettings, there are the opitons for line colours seen under the presentation rules, where a visible line can be set to a colour.  There is column for line type, but I don't think it is working.

If that was corrected then the line type could be set under presentation rules.

opition in mt to control line type would also help in control the line type in conjunction with colour.

For the printed documentation you can specify a line type assigned to colors in the ctb-file.
