It would be extremely helpful to include Advance Steel within the C4R workfow strategy and include DWG files within the BIM360 collaboration/team products.
This would be extremely helpful. We have 3 office locations and always have a number of staff seconded to project offices. We are always having issues transferring the entire model folder to another site where drawings lose connection to the model among other issues.
If there was a way for Advance steel models to be hosted in BIM360 Docs, edited through the desktop connector with some kind of file locking system for models and drawings I would buy a lot more Advance steel licenses.
I agree with the comments Matt Mason has made. We have had other requests for this and it makes total sense to streamline the .DWG workflow through the BIM 360 Docs platform.
To be able to have multiple modellers from different locations would be invaluable, we currently have 30 staff in Perth and 10 staff in Europe, our current workflow involves a lot of copying and pasting models which comes with its own problems. Ideally I would like to have my European staff working inside the same models as my Perth staff. The Tekla offering for this is perfect, their models are housed on their multi user server and can be accessed by multiple people in different locations at the same time.

Currently the workflow is amazing in Revit as the collaboration button creates a direct link to BIM360 and the only thing required is synching the model when changes are made, a lot simpler than saving and re-uploading which is the the current workflow in AS.
I'll get our Graitec Techs to help you push this great idea.
