In Advance Steel 2017 a very nice new feature is for plan view drawings to label members with "name & alignment" in the drawing style, giving a member elevation if different than UCS. Example W8x24 [-8"] or C10x15.3 [SLOPED]. This needs to be linked with the check box in the default settings to put a minus sign between foot and inches. All dimensions in my whole project show up as 1'-3". But in this instance the label shows up a W8x24 [1'3"]. to manually put the minus sign in there breaks the link so that is no good and defeats the purpose of Advance Steel doing it automatically. Please link that to the default setting for the minus sign.
