if there were sub groups in groups that would be taken into account in numbering, sub group templates could be used in construction.
A simple example are handrails with a variety of posts that are predefined and their definitions kept in a template folder and used for numbering and BOMs. This would improve both the design and the production process because there was less to design and these sub components could be prefabricated and kept in storage for assembling into groups.
