Where is my user database?

Hello-

I modified some BOM templates and from what I understand they save to my C: drive. How can I get these updated templates onto my coworkers computer? At the moment I have my model open, but as a read-only file. Is this an issue? Does it matter?

The user database is not just a single file.  It is actually a bunch of files/folders.  By default they are in %PROGRAMDATA%\Autodesk\Advance Steel YYYY\ where the YYYY is the version.  That houses all of your personal setting/prototypes/BOM template/symbols/connection library/all other stuff.  If you just need to transfer a single BOM (not external list) it is a drawing saved in the previous location and can be directly copied.  

It has been on my wish list for quite a while for an ability to centrally locate that Data Folder for all on the network to use.  I know there used to be a way, but I had some serious performance issues.  

There are several tools to transfer bits and pieces from one user to another.  I made a bat file that would save my data folder to a central location and everyone else would grab from that and copy it to theirs so we would all be on the same version.

Further to @Jonathan.Jasinski you can copy the entire folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2017 frome one PC to another to clone all settings.Rename the existing folder on the destination PC (as a back up) and then replace with the copied folder. If using AS2017 then it is best to NOT copy the file C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2017\ASSettings_User.xml. Just do the copy then rename that file BEFORE running AS.

If you only want the user databases copied then they are all in the file C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2017\User2\Data\AstorAddin.mdb so you could copy just that one. This contains anything under a User heading in any part of the system e.g. Numbering prefixes, Drawing styles and processes as well as BOMs.
