Welded join

Hi everyone,

Can anybody tell me how to do a welded connection between two beams?

Hi, 

 

Use the weld point function, this can  be found on the ribbon - home - objects.

select the objects to we welded together and press enter.

If you also need to notch a beam into another, you can use the tools on the advance steel tool palette.

Hi, i have the same issue. 

 

Where I can find this tool? I use 2021 versione.

 

Also I would like to know if a connection made with handrail fitting joint, realize a welded connection (see figure),

Hi @Anonymous 

 

The weld point icon is on the ribbon, in the home tab (circled in red in the post above). 

 

If you have used the railing joint from the connection vault then this will have introduced a weld, if you have used the mitre tool then it will not. 

 

You can check if items are welded together by using the "Display objects connected in shop" tool. this can be found in the Advance tool palette as shown below.  It will highlight the selected assembly in red.
