VIEWPORTS DISAPPEARING FROM WORKSHOP DRAWINGS

I have an issue in Advance steel where the 'viewports' are dissapearing from my workshop drawings, the actual part remains but the green box has gone meaning i cannot edit the scale / rotation / clipping etc. What seems to be triggering this is when i create an additional view using the create view / section command.

Hi,

The green frames around views and details can be temperamental. But they are not essential for anything you need to do. You can easily get to the corresponding dialog boxes.

If you would normally double click on the inner frame around one view then select any member in the view, right click and select Advance View Properties.

If you would normally double click on the outer green frame around a detail then select any member in a view, right click and select Advance Detail Properties. Or you can use the ribbon Labels & Dimensions > Parametric Views > Change Detail command and select a view.

No matter what it is double clicking an object just runs the default edit command. You can always access the command some other way - usually on the right click menu.

How do you delete a view without leaving gray boxes everywhere when you cannot select the green box?

You can use the delete view tool in the parametric views. See attached picture
