Unable to get drawing number and name correct for single part drawings.

Hello All,

I am working on advanced steel 2020 in the Australian Environment.

When I generate single-part drawings via the drawing process, the name of the drawing comes with the prefix of the single part in it. For example, if I want my drawing name to be Q1 it comes out as Qp1( "p" is the single part prefix). And this, not the only problem. Due to this whenever the prefix changes the drawing number starts from 1 again (Qp1, Qp2...Qp15 then Qb1, Qb2....). My drawing name selector is Q%Flat(01). This is working fine for assembly drawings.

Thanks.

Hi,

%Flat is the drawing number, not the part number. The drawing number is just a counting number and has no prefix.

The Part number (%PosNum or similar) usually has a prefix and you cannot use the part number without the prefix. You can stop part numbers having prefixes at all by going to Output > Part Marks > Prefix Settings and untick the Use Prefix box. Then number your model.
