U-Bolt connection for Unistrut Beam Clamps not Pipe support U Bolt

Question: 1

We have seen the earlier post about the U-bolt connection being available for Pipe support. However, as shown in this picture, we would like to know the possibility of creating a U-bolt for Unistrut Beam Clamps and also a beam connection plate as shown(Beam Clamp-P2785,86.png, Beam Clamp-P2676.png).

Question: 2

Please share how to create a Unistrut family along with the slotted hole, as shown in the picture (Strut-P100T-41X41.png & Struct-P3300t-41X21.png).

Question: 3

Please share how to create Nut & Unirod Couplers as threaded as shown in the picture (Rod Coupler-RC08-M8.png & Rod-UR08-M8)

We would appreciate any ideas or suggestions to create these families in Advance Steel.

We see no pics...

The clamps need to be realized with specialparts, the unistrut profiles with slotted holes could not be inserted in the database, because only the cross section is used for profile definition.

If you really want to have this, you need to create the holes in the model or use block, hatch or something on the detail drawing.

Thanks for the input and thought. I have attached the images again and let me know if you have any further input on this.

as I wrote:

the profile with slotted holes already in the profile are not possible (the profiles are defined by their cross section).

The clamps:

  • Clamp-P2785,86: maybe with a folded beam and and polybeam + nuts as specialparts, but also all parts could be used as specialparts. All elements could be combined as user connection.
  • Clamp-P2676: with specialparts possible

The problem will be: if you use this very often, you will have many many special parts in your model and this will minimize the performance of Advance Steel

Thank you for the updated response and could not get any idea about U-bolt for plate connection. Do you have any idea how to prepare U-bolt?
