hey,

i need to transfer to someone my model without losing the properties and he is working on solidworks

i saw the option to explode but it is not helping me because i need the properties.

Graitec's powerpack feature lets you do a straight export to STEP, but it does result in  a LOT of  individual objects.

Also note that for some of the solutions posted generate STLs which aren't as easily useable for solid modelling without conversion. I haven't tried STLs in Solidworks but in other software find them to be very annoying. This is a feature that should be included as a default but is not.
