Special parts have become "layerless"

I was in the drawing manager and selected 2 assembly drawings to open. Advance Steel crashed. Since then I have been unable to open the properties dialog box of special parts. Also, AFTER selecting a Special Part I can no longer open any other drawing, nor switch between drawing tabs. The properties panel shows no layer information for Special Parts as if they are not on a Layer.

Anyone have any ideas?

Here's a partial containing the area you see in the screenshot ...

This behaviour is not isolated to one machine, it happens on everyone's workstation.

the dwg you send me seems to be purged...maybe this was the problem?

If I select the object and use "select similar" all part are selected. I put them on test layer and after this the properties and so on are working again.

Not sure how this occurs, but there's a step missing, this is not done by Advance Steel from my point of view.

@Sebastian_Eiche  I tried running the "layer match" command and that just caused AS to stall. I was able to change the objects to another layer by using the drop-down from the Layers panel, and as you said everything returned to normal.

Yes, it was purged. I sent you "part of the model" and purged out everyting not pertinent.

I don't understand what you mean by "step missing", but I did find some old posts about objects not being on a layer:

What i wanted to say with "step missing".
We had to found out in which step this is happened. Is Advance crashing while yo're doing something? Or do start a drawing process and then this appears...something what could maybe occurs this problem
