Is there any option to set Slotted holes dimmensioning and labeling like in the attachment?

Hi,

The token for the slot width (W) is Bolt Diameter and the slot length L is Length. So the label should say "Ø%Diameter x %Length Slot" or similar.

Thanks but it does not solve my problem.
I would like to achieve dimensioning and labeling like in the first method (attachement),
Now I have the second one.

Hi,

Is your slot a hole made by a bolt or hole command or is it a polygon contour made by one of the contour features. You can only get the lower image if the slot is a contour. If it is a hole you can try playing with the Default > Drawing Dimensioning > General > Slotted hole dimensioning configuration.

Hi,

That is the option you show in your picture. Different builds have slightly different names.

It only changes dimensioning not labeling (atachment) so it does not solve my problem.
Taking opportunity, why the vertical location of the hole is not dimensioned?

If you want the label to use the hole centre dimension for the length you can use some vbscript to modify the value:

Try this for the label definition:

%BoltCount No. %Diameterøx%%script(LenTotal = %Length: LenCtrs = LenTotal-%Diameter: appendstring LenCtrs)ctrs slotted holes

I use vbscript in many of my label definitions to get the output that I want. 🙂

Thanks a lot! That works!
What about vertical dimension of bolt localization?

I've added an internal Y dimension request similary to the internal X direction but it does not work.(attachment)

That Y dimension request is only giving the system points of the holes and nothing else - hence no dimension.

It needs the extreme points of the plate as well.

Not sure what is under the X dimension request that you have marked?

If it only contains the holes, this is not the request giving your X dimension and must be one of the other dim requests!

Thanks a lot !
I've found the mistake in default settings (atachment).

Yes! ...I taught myself through a few online resources and a lot of trial and error!
Once you have a few working examples, it's easy to create others by changing the variable names and tokens to suit and standard VBscript functions:
