Shared Views Failing

Is anyone having issues with the shared views, I was able to run them a month ago but is has now stopped working. I have tried signing in and out but seems to have no response. I also have shared views ticked on my account. The rest of the office here is having the same issue. I am wondering if its something on our end or an issues on Autodesk's end.

Cheers Doug.

At this stage we are experiencing it down more then it is up. It is become frustrating as it is a tool we use with our clients. Perhaps this is something Autodesk needs to address.

Thank you for your posting @doug4489

Please refer to this:

Are files uploaded to the Autodesk Viewer deleted after 30 days or can this period be extended

Uploaded drawing will have expiry date, and it has to be extended before expire. Is this the case?

This is not the case, I cannot create a file at all. I know they expire as it tells you next to them how long they have left. I also know you can extend the period as I have done it before. what I cant work out is why it worked about a month ago and hasn't worked since. it is becoming annoying as I cannot send out models to clients for review which is costing me time and money having to create drawings for review when I should be able to send a model instead.

Thank you for your reply @doug4489. I will find out more about what's happening here.

Meanwhile, are you able to upload the drawing directly in here?:

Hi @doug4489

Please install this hotfix, and try again, it should work:

Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2019 Internet Security Hotfix

@doug4489 did the installation of the HotFix Yuri mentioned solved the issue on your side ?

If not, could you please provide a screenshot of the error, and also mention the moment when it happens ? (like right after clicking Ok to start share view, or some time later on? )

We are now up to version 2021. AutoCAD should come up with an updated fix for current version

Hello,

today I found I cannot publish the shared view from my ACAD Mech. 2021 as well. I tried to copy some parts of the hotfix to acad.exe.config por ACAD 2021 but it did not work.

Regards,

Martin M.

I am running Autodesk Advance Steel 2022 and am unable to get the viewer to work. We have a few here that it does work for and a few of us that it will not work for. Can't seem to find any information on the internet to help.

It would seem it is still having issues in 2025.

I am using Advance Steel 2024 and it has stopped working somewhere between Xmas 2024 and early 2025.

Thought I would give this another bump.  I have tried everything I know and have read to get the Shared Views working.  It was working then it just stopped and I can't figure out why.  Anybody got any clues as to has to get this back working again?  Is it the Desktop Connector causing the issue, Autodesk Docs, Newer Version, Older Version????

Hello, it works for me (AS 25 and AS26) indeed at one point it didn't work directly. and the support advised me to go through the explorer : Autodesk Viewer | Free Online File Viewer(longer but it worked)

My AdS 2024 just fails and AdS 2025 and 2026 opens but empty with an error message.

I have seen other 2024 versions working so not sure what is causing the issue. It doesn't seem like the software vendor could give a toss.

Check with support. Maybe there's a script that stays when you migrate versions?
I had this problem with another issue, and without migrating, I didn't have the problem. Then, when I copied a database folder, the bug returned...
