Sample models are stored in the below folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2019\GBR\Shared\Support\Examples Change the "GBR" section to your local version

Sample models are stored in the below folder C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2019\GBR\Shared\Support\Examples Change the "GBR" section to your local version

Hi,

 

I had forgotten about those. They seem to be the same 2 examples in every install. So even in the US build they use metric beams.

 

I wouldn't look at the Industrial Hall model, except perhaps as an example of what not to do.  This is clearly ancient. Most of the joints it uses are ancient UK only joints that don't even exist in Connection Vault at all (they were obsolete long before the Connection Vault as invented) and they only have limited options. Other things are modelled manually where they could easily be done with current joints (e.g. purlin layout and purlin joints).

Didnt know they existed either, just searched to see if it included sample models similar to the way revit includes them.

In the Autodesk folder, I don't see the Advance Steel folder 😕

You need to set the hidden items in Windows Explorer to visible state:
