round plate at top of a column with holes

How to create round end plate at top of a column with holes on it?

I have created round plate with 'plate at poly line' command, but when I try to make holes, it just doesn't work. I can only create holes on square plate.

Please help.

Hi 

This is possible to do. Create the plate using the Circular Plate icon in the Objects tab. Then create the Holes using the Circular Center Point feature.

Sorry, I just didn't see the plate,  it was created in 0,0,0.

the command circular plate is always creating a plate to the UCS 0,0,0, maybe you have now many many plates in your model? 😃
But if you want to create a round endplate, please use the automatic connection for it. Connection "Endplate" and then Layout "round":

Hi,

If your column is a tube then you can use the Tube Base Plate joint in the Plates at Beam group of Connection Vault. This will create the circular plate in the right place and put the holes or anchors in accordingly. You can use the Switch Beam End box on the General page of the joint properties to get the plate at the top if it comes out at the wrong end.
