Reidbrace bracing system

Hi guys,

The industry here commonly adopts Reidbrace as the diagonal bracing system. 

The most similar system in my Advance Steel is to use tension rods, but I cannot find this supplier system in the library. The concern is that when using other supplier systems, the hole in the plate is not fit for the Reidbrace system, and the length of the rod is not fit as well. Is there any way to add a supplier system into my Advance steel?

look at Management Tools / Tables and filter for "tension":

Here you will find existing supplier / products in 15 groups.

If you need to add another supplier / product and you have no experience with editing tables in Management Tools or via SQL Server, please add a new record to Idea Station: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/advance-steel-ideas/idb-p/144

If you dare to make adjustments, your first option would be to adjust one existing product (which you will not use) in Management Tools to your needs ... but it's all about tuning 😎 (for experienced users). 

For a new supplier (and product) you need to get via SQL Server (to create a new line with eg. RULE_TensionRods_SupplierTable16) and then the product parameters (for more experienced users).

Be careful. Tables are mostly linked to other tables.

For special needs, you have to create special parts, which probably won't be native Advance Steel objects (eg. solids) ... and it is necessary to deal with these in this way as well
