Radial Dimension Setup in Drawing Style

Hi group,

Using "Radial" as the dimension type what is the  dimension definition required that will define  outside radius of a "ladderbrace" model role type object from a section view.

This one has me stumped. I've searched for info on the internet on this and have come up short so far.

I keep getting outer, centerline and inside radial dims showing up and would like to be able to isolate any one of those for a given detail without having to manually delete the other two.

Please see the attached pic.

Regards

Craig

Just wanted to add here  that regardless of which point scheme I try the results are always the same.   Outer, center and inner or nothing at all.

Try this for yourself and you'll see what I mean.

A solution would be greatly appreciated.

regards

Hi. Currently the radius label will be exclusively created on the system line of the curved beam (with the system line having to be visible, so with the beam detailed with VisibleHidden for example this radius dimension won't be created). The setting you highlighted is indeed intended to work for curved beams inner/outer references, but for linear dimensions only.

Dumitru,

Thank you for the follow up and clarification!

I will press forward and see If I can come up with a working dim request based on this.

I'll post a follow up with my results.

I need to get control of this radial dimension for my custom Ladder drawing style.

Regards

Craig

Does the attached setting solve your issue?  I know this was posted a while ago but I thought I would throw it out there.

Thanks for the suggestion..... when I try any of these settings the results are the same.  I pretty much gave up on this a while back but thanks again...

i think this is broken   / bugged

nothing has an effect on the dimension

even changing the "which point to dim" to holes in object and it still puts 3 radia  dims on the curved flat bar that has no holes in it

even changing the selected model role  and adding a filter  (profile round) and it still puts 3 radia dims on the bit of curved FLAT bar   not round bar

and yer every option in the "point selection" has no effect

the only thing that has an effect is to delete the dimension string  or change it from radia to liner

there seems to be option's in the "witch point to dimension" part for curved beam inside /out side  and centerline

its just dose not work

qa fail

need more development please

I would be happy if I could get a radial dimension on a curved beam on a GA drawing.
