Hello everyone.
I have an IPE 360 rafter and IPE 120 purlins. I would like to add stays from the rafter to the bottom flange of the purlins.
The connection from the vault ONLY allows for the stays to be bolted on the side (web) of the purlins.
Can anyone help?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
so from what I recall the connections in this type are mainly based around the use of a channel or cold formed zee or Cee type arrangement , not an I beam as the purlin.
so I think the standard connections may not work in this instance.
how every you may be able to build a custom connection from a manual brace stay element with some bracing connections at each end.
try to build it manually first al, see if one of the standard angle brace connections work on each end (rafter and purlin) then see if using a custom connection with two inputs can apply.
Maldonado if you wish to alter custom connection, make sure you check the allow modification dialog check box, this way you could stretch/alter the stay location.
hth for a starter.
cheers

Custom connection works, but these can be a bit tricky of you aren't used to using them.
The other option is to use a standard cleat connection for the purlin and model the stays manually.
Items can be duplicated using 'copy with adjustment' command
Make sure your stays & all connections are correct before copying them. Changing anything will be difficult afterwards
