no. please don't create it as UserSection...to much work and not the best way for performance.
Advance Steel performance will slow down, if you have to much UserSections in you model.
And if you create them as UserSection you could not use them easily in structural elements like stairs, railing and so on.
For shapes which are already existing, it much easier to copy an existing profile in the databases.
This is often shown here in the forum, so maybe in the future --> forum search.
Short steps:
- open the Management Tools and the TableEditor
- Open all Tables and search for the profil you want, you will find the correct table in the AstorProfiles (example):
- Select a line, right mouse button "copy"--> go to the last line and use insert
- change the profile as you need
