This cannot be done with the purlin macro, you will need to manually place the purlins

Hi,

You can do purlins on a curved beam using the Structure Designer in the PowerPack.

Hi,

The basic process would be as follows:-

  • Draw one purlin at the apex where the web is vertical and perpendicular to the rafter.
  • Use Polar Array to copy the purlins to required spacing around rafter - set whether or not ot rotate members as they are copied. If you say no Rotate then the web stays vertical. If you say Yes to Rotate the web stays perpendicular to the rafter.
