Purlin cleat

How would you suggest I go about creating purlin connections as the attached image shows?

You could try custom connection, there are some building brick in there for plate on beam plate on plate , also bolt group brick , combine these together to make connection.
Driver would be a two or three beam type, two for single overhaul type and three for the butt type.

You may Beale to also combine the cut at beam feature macro to help with shortening back the beam, or just use the shorten beam command.

It may sound wrong, but when applying the plates , it may be best to use the purlin system end and apply plate to that, then use the plate on plate to make the saddle plate to rafter top.

Possible weld detail manual between rafter and saddle plate.

Base bolt group on saddle plate centre.

That was what I thought, and was hoping I missed something.

Can you suggest a way of adding a vertical stiffener to the saddle plate (not shown in the picture)?

Thx for the help
