purlin alignment issue

I am trying to place solid wood purlins on a frame. every other purlin is offset up from the frame a couple inches. I checked and unchecked every box in the macro and cannot seem to adjust them properly. When I change to a steel profile in luuie of the wood, or use wood and choose no lap, the purlins align properly ?? Any ideas? BTW, is it possible to create or import imperial wood sizes? i.e.- 2x4, 2x6, 2x10...etc

in my case it works ok,no offset or other strange things.

is your UCS positioned ok? Mostly it is the UCS in this cases.
