plate cut issue

one folded plate cut another plate with arc chamfer, i want to get the correct shape of the folded plate , also the correct expanded drawing.

when i do this opration,  it cut a straight gap, see the following picture, any one who can tell me how do i deal with this?

pls see my model .  by the way, the arc edge can not chamfer,so i used a polyline instead the arc line, do you have some comments about this or any other methord ?

re uploaded model made  cut with a poley line that i made from snap points on the "cad solid" cut that u had dun

so used snaps  to make poley line 

then copy that poly line to the AS plate  

and then used polygon cut contor ucs / see pic

its a straight cut so tight one side  , bit gap other

so it dident let me post evry time i clik post  nothing hapens

i thort my be it because im triying to upload a file with same name as one thats there 

so i remove  cut.dwg

change file to cut ao.dwg

then it let me post 

but now u got the first post  plus the second dosent have cut .dwg removed !

Hi, my solution is very similar to Alick's but i use the clash check marking to get the shape for the polygon contour. I have recorded a screencast and the link is below.

that may be beter as i never made the poly line i copy all redy dun work   if u can make if with out haveing to make sum other autocad solid part  shorly be faster

but i think u fugot to upload model

that screen cast was not ther when i first read  definely sumet a bit weired going on with fourms to day

but yer that solution much better 

i will be useing that work flow fora more advance cut at object in future

Hi, sir.  do you know why an arc edge can not be chamfered?  any other way to do this except use a polyline instead of arc edge.
