Is there a way for part drawings to automaticly reference all assemblys drawing which they occur?

For example:        The quantity of part pa 1 is 6

                                              3 on drawing Ca4 & 3 on drawing Ca7

Hi,

If you are using the UK install there is a ready made BOM template you can add to the drawing. In the UK it is called "UK Part Allocation List". You would use it as follows:-

• Open the drawing.
• Insert BOM
• Select UK Part Allocation List as your template.
• Update BOM.

Of course, if you want it all the time you can add it to your prototypes.

I don't know what BOMs are available in other language installs. You can try looking for a similar one. I attach the standard UK one in case you haven't got anything. Place it in this path C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel 2016\Shared\Support\BOMTemplates\

When I travel the path and get to support folder
All there is in there is a folder called Transformations and it is empty?
I am in California USA Aavance Steel 2016 on Autocad 2016

Hi,

You are looking in C:\Program Files. You should be looking in C:\Program DATA!. Program Data is a hidden folder by default so you need to set Windows Explorer to "Show Hidden Files and Folders" in Folder and Search Options on the View page.

I did it! yea!!

But it is verry tiny and I tryed to scale it to make it bigger but I dont know what I am doing.

Hi,

When you insert the BOM Template you are basically setting the width of the BOM on the drawing. The dialog box shows a page with a tick box in each corner - ticking one of those boxes locks the position of that corner preventing the list from growing in that direction. Generally only the top two or bottom two boxes are ticked so the list can grow down or up respectively for the number of lines required but the width is fixed.

Ordinary scaling and editing commands will have no effect.
