part numbers on drawings

Hi All,

I create my drawings using the drawing process,

I define the camera and with the selected camera I create the drawing.

I want to have all the purlins and bent sheets shown in the drawing and for each part, I want to have a balloon with a leader to the part, which will show the part number and assembly number below it.

Can I have something like this?

If I define: 2.1- 3D view- model - w/labels.

I get:

eyalch_2-1721824984080.png

I don't need the description, but the part number and assembly number for each part.

and also you can see that it doesn't show the roof purlins, I want all the element to be shown:

Rafters, roof purlins, ceiling purlins, bent sheet, plates, beams.

thank you,

I would expect you would need the Assembly number for assemblies and Single Part numbers for beams that aren't part of an Assembly.

That is how I do mine, but your requirements might be different.

From what you have described, it sounds achievable.

Hi @Flies-Eyes ,

The purpose for my request is provide construction drawings to the site so they could locate the part or assembly (it depends on what number the manufacturer marked those parts).

and put them at the correct location.

that's why I need when creating a drawing (layout or typical frame for example) I will get for each item a balloon with the assembly number and part number below it.

and as I mentioned, I want to see all the items that are in the model.

Can you do something like this?

thank you

I am little lost as to your exact requirements. The part that confuses me most is the reasoning as to why you need to have the the Assembly and Part number shown together on a Marking Plan?

For me, the marking plan should indicate the Assembly Number and in the case of Standalone Beams their Single Part number.

Hi @Flies-Eyes ,

I need the assembly number besides each element,

Because there are standalone parts the manufacturer sometime takes their names,as parts and mark them.

Thats why I need to show this way, so if the manufacturer desides to mark standalone parts only with the part number instead of the assembly number, they could find it in the site.

Hope now its clear,

Assemblies to mark with assembly mark.

And standalone parts with assembly and part number.

Tahnk you.

Ok, now that is clear.

My Numbering and Labelling system for Assemblies and Standalone Parts manages this so it is clear what is an Assembly and what is a Standalone Part.  This not only works for Standalone Beams but Standalone Plates and Purlins which are essentially a Standalone Beam.

thank you @Flies-Eyes ,

but what you did is not clear.

If it's trouble to make leader with balloon that shows every assembly in the drawing with assembly number and part number, it is also ok to make only the assembly number and the name.

today I'm doing the numbers manually:

eyalch_0-1722234356630.png

I check the name of each beam, rafter, purlin, bent sheet and edit it in AutoCAD.

I need something like this for all the elements in view, ( assembly number and name below it).

* In this drawing you can see why did I ask for the assembly and the part.

because if you look at assembly number 55 - it's abeam with plates welded to it, it's assembly.

but part number 4 it's just a bent sheet, so it has only part number, nothing is welded to it.

My manufacturer mark assemblies with their assembly number, and the parts like number 4 with part number,

and I want the builders on site to identify each element.

hope that I clear now.

If you can do it- please give me an explanation how to do it,

thank you.

Eyal.

I did a video about Standalone Beams, which sounds to me what you are trying to achieve.

Correct me if I am wrong.  It sounds like you want to label Assemblies with the Assembly number but for objects that don't have any attached parts, you want to label the object with the Part number?

Hi @Flies-Eyes

Exactly , as you described, but also I want all the parts to be shown in the drawing,

for example:

when I choose 2.4:

eyalch_0-1722242593617.png

it gives all the roof purlins but without the ceiling purlins.

I want camera that I create will show everything in the view.

thank you.

That looks like a custom drawing style or one that has been created by a specific country, which I haven't seen before.  I will need to see how that drawing style was configured to know how to edit it to meet your requirements.

I would need to have a look at the drawing style to confirm.

Which Country database setup are you using?

I would say this is the Label you will need to edit.
