numbering

I've been fighting this issue for some time that i'm either not understanding or i'm doing something wrong.  after i create the model, i select numbering and make a few selections then once a drawing is created i get the correct main piece marks for the column or beam, but the plates or other items attatched have....

p#internal1

p#internal2

etc.

how do i get rid of the (#internal)?

did i select something i shouldn't have?  i just want something like (p1, p2, p3) for the sub pieces.

The "#internal" tag on your part numbers is a temporary numbering system.  In order for your part numbers to be finished, you need to get your parts detailed, or at least processed onto drawings, then the #internal will be replaced with the sheet number that the part is found on.
