Model View Callouts Representation on Plan View, Plus a Bonus Complaint!!

Is this supposed to look like this or did I break something?

Model view callouts stink!Model view callouts stink!

Does anyone know how I can customize my section view callout to look, well honestly LOL, anything containing an arrow? Maybe also a dashed rectangle shape? Ya know, maybe the model view bounding box would make more sense?

And!!.... as a bonus complaint...

Why hasn't the dimension string problem been fixed yet?  "group equal distances" clearly does not work properly! There's no point in even using it on stairs because the added result is always off because it's adding up the rounded "shown" values rather than "actual" dimensions.

If there is no plans in ADSK to fix this then I will need to take the time to learn programming better so I can figure out how to take the overall dimension value, (being the most important one) and dividing that to get the spacing dimension.

:end of bonus content:

So here are two challenges I face daily. Both equally embarrassing when I let drawings slip through without going back to fix.

Kind Regards,

Mark

...and fix the kiss export issues.

The difficult part to comprehend with the software vendor's life choices, is how they can justify spending $90 Million USD, yes $90,000,000 to purchase a steel detailing application platform that was 90% resolved, only to wait 10 years and decide to rebuild a new steel detailing tool on a platform that is fundamentally limited by its legacy code and geometry kernel.  One would suspect the shareholders either agree with the strategy or are unaware of the underlying spending behaviour of the board.

the callout and camera symbol is set in the defaults in the management tools. The symbols itself could be changed with AutoCAD but the options are not so much.

I created a specialpart (arrow) in the past and additional a polybeam (small round bar)...both with a specific role to get a nicer presentation in the drawings--> both for a customer of us. So the customer could insert + rotate these by using  the blockpalette (explode by insert) and then change the size of the polybeam.

Because of the role it could be set in the detailsstyle (Beam only with systemline) but it need to be unchecked to be part in the bom list.
Not useable for everyone but sometimes very helpfull

Hi,

You can also try setting the default "Drawing Presentation > General > Default Camera Presentation Type" to Rectangle.
