Model Check Issue

It may look kinda cool if you were born around 1970 but what does this mean?

I let it try to fix the error and ran it again then it narrowed it down to this one folded plate. These were kind of a bitch to model the curved ones because the cuts on the top have multiple bevel angles to align with slope of concrete ramps.

Hi Mark,

Tried to use Handle / Id, it is feature named 85B, but it cannot be fixed,

Try to delete the very top cut and re-create.

If it is made of steel, I can model it and detail it.

Hi Mark, as already written, the problem is the contour process, which you're using.
I know this works in the most cases, but in this situation, you could use the "cut on UCS" to cut your plate and then the Model Check will not give any error

Thanks you guys for your thoughts. I spoke too soon before I actually took a closer look. I guess my original cut was off and I needed to trim a part off.

@markhubrich

That is so unfair, we want our solution marked.

Just kidding-below is a screenshot of how to identify the problematic feature:-Search, Handle or Id, type 85B.

Hi,

It is obviously too late for this occasion but in future, if you have a similar plate to model you might like to try this workflow:-

  • Draw a spline around the top edge of the concrete.
  • Double click the spline and choose Convert to Polyline (precision up to you but don't get too carried away).
  • Repeat for bottom edge of concrete.
  • Create Twisted Folded Plate between the two polylines.

You will have a full, one-piece, folded plate following the path with the top and bottom edges matching your concrete in one easy process. No need for any additional features.

Just a thought.
