Hi,
I have an elbow then I split it into several segments, however, when I wanted to mitre those segments together to be fabricated separately, I couldn't do that although I tried each tool in the Tool Palette. I tried GRITEC PowerPack also, but it didn't contain an option to mitre curved pipes ... Please, how can I do this operation correctly ?? Honestly, it is an urgent need.
I attached the model so you can take a close look.
Note:
I used Advance Steel 2020 for modelling but the model is saved as DWG 2013
Thx

Is this what you are trying to achieve?
The system lines were slightly off so I moved one beam to make sure they were in line, then used Railing Joint Handrail to get the radius piece, deleted the joint box, then used divide to enter the number of segments, then used split beam.
Hi @Anonymous
To add to what @mick-CNF has already gone into I think the reason the bits wouldnt mitre is becuase they are polybeams which dont have a completly square end.
I remodelled straight beams over the top of each segement and the mitre command works fine with the straight beams, see screencast below

Dear @Rob_Merriman ,
Thank you a lot for this proposal. it is exactly what I am looking for, and now, I can link any two pipes at different levels easily. 👍
Dear @mick-CNF ,
Thank you for your response as it met my needs approximately with some reservations. Your suggestion supposes that the pipes are at one intersection level, but when they are in two different levels so I think we can't apply this procedure-Pls, see attached file- In this case, I suppose we draw an arc manually then create curved beam then splitting it as you mentioned. Anyway, your suggestion could be used as a solution in line with @Rob_Merriman one.
Thx for you both
