Management tools default setting changes

Hi all

I am trying to change some default setting in the advance steel management tools, but whenever I do this they don't save. 

I open the management tools, click defaults, alter (for example) a default Column to something we use more commonly, and click "Load settings in advance", but they don't stay for some reason. Does anyone have any suggestions?

After that Update defaults:

You may lack the permissions to edit items in that folder due to your companies IT policy.

You can check the permissions by going to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Advance Steel <YEAR>\<REGION>\Steel and right click on the "DATA" folder and look at the permission tab and see if you lack the permissions required to make edits.
