Sometimes Advance will create a detail that has a level dimension as shown in the attached snip. I have wasted a lot of time trying to add this in where AS does NOT put it in automatically, and I have not been successful. I want it to look like the snip.

Hi,

Try placing a normal linear dimension and set the presentation to "level absolute" and tick the box "Broken Dimension Line". You need at least two points to make a linear dimension so then you set "hide dimensions point" to First or Last to remove the unwanted point.

Getting both dimensions, cannot switch off bottom dimension

Can you tell where "hide dimensions point" can be located.I cannot locate this feature

Thanks in advance

"Hide Dimension Point" is in the "Dimension Chain" menu. It works like it should.

Ok that is I have to use a step either place TOS to insert level or use dimension point deletion if I use via dimension styles.I was looking to automate this feature without any additional steps. Thanks anyways
