L Section Leg joint with splice and plate

Hi!

I am new to AS. I want to create joint between two legs (L-Section) with inside cleat (L-section) and cover plate outside. Is there any standard joint in AS. I cannot find this type of joint with Leg Section.

You mention use custom connection. This type of connection is available inbuilt software itself or we we have to create custom connection.

If we have to create then how to do it. How to do is different different L-Sections.

Hi!

Right, I have to create custom connection.

But I have a question is then do I need to create connection for different L-Sections (like for L 130x130x12 , L 100x100x10). If yes then I have to create more than 100 nos. of custom connection has to be created.

Is there any to create all parameter will ask while making connection like.  Nos. of bolts, Staggered or non staggered bolts, inside splice section, outside plate thickness, gauge lines of the leg etc...

You can use the building bricks that are part of the custom connection palette to make the connection parametric

Hi!

If I put cover plate and cleat L-section manually with bolt connected. Then can we create custom connection with some parameters (like nos. bolts, plate sizes, cleat size, Double or Single gauge line etc..)
